Uzbekistan License Plate Format

Uzbekistan vehicle registration plates are white reflective with black characters. Right side displays Uzbekistan flag and international country code “UZ”. Current system introduced in 2009 (modern plates since 1996). Plates feature regional code, numeric sequence, and letter series using Latin alphabet only.

White on green background with white border, format ## M ###### (regional code + M + 6 digits), for vehicles registered to foreign businesses operating in Uzbekistan

Diplomatic

White on green background, prefix indicates status (CMD for ambassadors, D for accredited diplomats, T for administrative / technical staff) + 3-digit embassy / mission code

United Nations

White on blue background with white border, format UN #### (UN + 4 digits), issued by Ministry of Foreign Affairs authorization for UN mission heads, specialized organizations, family members, and accredited staff

Foreign Citizens

Black on yellow background with black border, format ## H ###### (regional code + H + 6 digits), for vehicles owned/rented by foreign citizens and stateless persons residing or temporarily staying in Uzbekistan

Temporary/Transit/Export

Black on white, format T ###### ## (T + 6 digits + regional code), for exported vehicles
