Lithuanian License Plate Format
Lithuanian standard vehicle registration plates bear three letters and three numbers in black lettering on white background. Plates usually standard EU dimensions (520×110mm) but can be manufactured in American dimensions (300×150mm) for special import vehicles. EU member with standard EU format.

Special Plate Types in Lithuania
Temporary Import/Export
Red text on white background, two formats: NNNNNLL (5 digits + 2 letters) or PNNNNN (P prefix + 5 digits), valid up to 30 days, can be re-issued only after standard plates issued (e.g., 24214AA or P28737)
Dealer/Trade
Red text on white background, format PNNNNN (P prefix + 5 digits since April 2018), registration does not expire, for vehicles sold by vehicle selling companies or organizations (e.g., P28737)
Diplomatic Corps
Green background with white text, no blue EU band, format NN-N-NNN (2 digits country/organization code + 1 digit + 3 digits), grouped as 01 3 123 (e.g., 37 3 001)
Taxicabs
White background with black text (since April 3, 2018), format TNNNNNN (T prefix + 5 digits), T = “taksi” in Lithuanian; pre-2018 had yellow background with black text, same format (e.g., T06868)
Vintage Cars
Black text on white background (since April 3, 2018), format HNNNNN (H prefix + 5 digits for cars, 4 digits for motorcycles); pre-2018 had white text on brown background (e.g., H02401)
Military Transport
Black background with white text, no EU band, only flag (e.g., LK006D)
