Saudi Arabian License Plate Format
Saudi Arabian plates display black text on white background (both front and rear), measuring 520×110mm (EU size) or 335×155mm (US size, standard). Plates consist of three Arabic letters and up to four numbers in Arabic, with translations into Latin alphabet and Western Arabic numerals. The strip section (right side for US size, center for EU size) contains the Saudi Arabia coat of arms, “KSA” country code written vertically (horizontally since 2014), and an official seal sticker at bottom. Standard plates always have four numbers, padded with zeroes if necessary. Letter translation is left to right despite Arabic being read right to left. Only 17 Arabic letters used: ا ب ح د ر س ص ط ع ق ك ل م ن هـ و ى, mapped to Latin as A B J D R S X T E G K L Z N H U V.
