Georgian License Plate Format
Georgian vehicle registration plates consist of embossed serial of two letters, hyphen, three numbers, hyphen, and two letters (e.g., AB-115-BA) in black on white background with blue vertical EU-style strip on left. Plates issued in Latin alphabet. System changed in 2015 from AAA 000 format (3 letters + 3 digits) used until that year.

elf-proclaimed republics issue own plates (Russian-style in Abkhazia, Soviet-style in South Ossetia), forbidden in Georgian-controlled territory since 2004; vehicles crossing boundaries typically use Russian plates

Black background with white letters and yellow left strip containing GA, format LL NNN with hologram separator (since 2011); regular military vehicles use green strip on left
